We collaborated with Chop Shop to create bespoke display carts for London’s National Army Museum.
We recently finished working on an exciting project with The National Army Museum in London. We were tasked with creating a set of carts to store and display objects from the collection, including weapons, for use in handling sessions.
The museum needed a cart for each of its five themed exhibition spaces with the challenge of making all the carts fit a small storage space.
We got to work and designed a set of carts that responded to the modern, sleek interior design of the museum, making sure their compact size provided maximum storage and display. The carts featured a weapons rack, a lockable front door, internal shelves for objects to sit on, a pouch on the reverse to hold small items and a raised lip on the top to stop objects rolling off.
Working in 3D meant we needed a fabricator to work with us and advise on finishing and production, so we were delighted to work again with the talented team at ChopShop based in Kelham Island, Sheffield. They did a fantastic job bringing our designs to life and getting a bit of Sheffield ingenuity into a stunning national museum.
