Sheffield Theatres rebrand

Sheffield Theatres have been creating home-grown world-class productions for over 40 years at both the Crucible and Lyceum, and continue to build a community of makers, performers, storytellers and audiences that reflect the soul, passion and pride of the city.

For the past six months Cafeteria has been working with Sheffield Theatres to define and deliver a new brand and visual identity. Our objective was to capture the heart of what makes their work so essential and give them the means to express themselves proudly, confidently and with unashamed brilliance.

The experience of live theatre is like no other, it inspires, challenges and enlightens. And if nothing else, it’s a good night out, guaranteed. Through bold typography, vibrant colour and a simple graphic flourish, our new identity celebrates the exclamation of emotion that theatre provokes.

The new brand will be rolled out over the coming months starting with the season guide and later in the year will showcase the Sheffield Theatres produced adaptation of award winning story, Life of Pi. So expect to see plenty of exciting updates and a full Project Story soon.

Working with Sheffield Theatres has been an exciting and inspiring process. Their enthusiasm and dedication to their work is unrivalled, but beyond what happens on stage it is the welcome they give that is most important. Sheffield Theatres are for everyone and our work with them will help present this message to the city and beyond.
