We design a new exhibition for the Cooper Gallery, ‘Barnsley on Film’.

No we’re not starting a northern Duran Duran tribute band. We’re busy working on the design for Barnsley Museums latest exhibition ‘Barnsley on Film’. The exhibition is the culmination of a two year heritage lottery funded project to make Barnsley Archives’ film and sound collections available for the first time. A combination of film and audio from the past 100 years will showcase the residents of Barnsley talking about their life, experiences and memories within the town.

The exhibition follows a printed publication we created for the Sound and Film Archives earlier in the year titled ‘The Joy of Sound and Film’. The publication and exhibition reflect one another through a bold and expressive visual language.

We’re cracking on with the install this week and the exhibition runs between 10th March – 11th April so make sure you get down and have a look yourself! We’ll share some shots from the exhibition on our Instagram and blog in the coming weeks.
