Bringing the party to this year‘s Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre, with a new campaign identity!
Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre is an unmissable event in Chester’s cultural calendar. For this year’s summer season, we created a campaign identity that captures the dazzling party spirit of the eight-week extravaganza.
What started in 2010 on a patch of grass with two rows of seating, has become an annual event with a purpose-built 500-capacity outdoor venue hosting live theatre, music, comedy, art and crafts activities, family entertainment, and a pop-up pizza and cocktail bar. Grosvenor Park provides the full festival experience in a day!
After 13 years of the same identity, Storyhouse — the event organiser — wanted to bring new dynamism to how Grosvenor Park sells itself to audiences. Previous marketing had always focused heavily on each season’s live theatre productions, overlooking the eclectic offer of the overall event.
This year’s productions of The Great Gatsby and A Midsummer Night’s Dream gave us the perfect opportunity to bring the whole event together under the lead headline The Great Midsummer Spectacular! A summer-long spectacle of fun, frolics, and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Our new type-led identity launches the Grosvenor Park 2023 marketing campaign with a bang. It’s bold, loud, and roaring with energy to supercharge audiences into booking their tickets for the summer party that can’t be missed.
