2020 Round-Up. Not quite the year we had in mind, but…

So… 2020. Curveball doesn’t even come close! And yet, thanks to the resilience and ambition of our amazing clients, we have plenty to celebrate as we wrap up the year… let’s review.

It started with an exciting partnership with The British Museum, who asked us to design their new touring exhibition – Ancient Iraq: new discoveries. We delivered it into the Great North Museum alongside, Other Worlds: The Art of Atomhawk – an exhibition celebrating the portfolio of this renown digital art studio (think Guardians of the Galaxy – if you know, you know).

2020 has also seen us deliver a bunch of digital projects, including shiny new websites for visioning consultancy, Mindfolio and leading architecture practice, HLM Architects: the fullest expression of the brand identity we delivered in 2019.

We’ve continued to build on our rebrand of Weston Park Cancer Charity, supporting them throughout the year. Full Project Story incoming! We’ve seen Robin Hood interpretation finally break ground at Sherwood Forest and have been overcoming new wayfinding challenges for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

We’re also thrilled to announce a new partnership with social enterprise, Green Estate. An abundance of plans in the pipeline here, with work well underway on a strategic review of their brand, as well as a fresh suite of marketing materials for their products, from wildflower meadows to weddings. More soon.
And how could we ever forget our favourite Brummie, Dr. Brian Griffin. A past project lead to a phone call. From here to a massively successful Kickstarter campaign. And now we’re on with designing a beast of a book that will show and tell the story of this extraordinary Black Country born, “photographer’s photographer” for the first time.

Oh yeah… and we won an award for our rebrand of Sheffield Theatres. That was good too.

It has been quite the ride, as it has been for all of our clients this year. We’ve really missed our studio environment, which is at the core of who we are and what we do, but we’ve dug deep, held on tight and learnt to embrace the journey. We’re ending the year as an even stronger team with our chins held high and keen to get stuck in to 2021, but first a breather… and a sherry or two.

Cheers to all!
